Christopher Stout (Born in Maryland) is a New York City-based artist who utilizes the tools of abstraction with industrial materials as a process for activating queer life and histories by means of alternative process sculpture. Stout utilizes diverse elements, including wood, plaster, cement, shredded writing, textiles, metal, resin, and paper pulp, to create a visual, physical language highlighting “otherness”. Stout graduated from Harvard University Extension School with a Bachelor of Arts Cum Laude, Humanities in May 2025. He is a student in the Master of Fine Arts Program at the School of Visual Arts, with an expected completion date of May 2027.
